ACTING TECHNIQUE CLASSES

The Actors Studio Australia professional technique classes offer an in-depth, practical exploration of the actor's craft via our powerful process of working from a place of inner truth. Our training program combines a unique cocktail of techniques from Sanford Meisner (The Meisner Technique), Lee Strasberg (The Method) and Constantin Stanislavsky to deepen and enhance the actor's emotional connection to his or her work.

Students learn to identify the key elements of human communication and build a powerful toolbox of skills in creating work that is immediate, honest and grounded. Our dynamic technique teaches actors to create from the inside out; to work from a starting point of intention & meaning, rather than "technical form"; to fill their work with a vital element of personal truth; to connect and interact with other actors on a deep, intimate level; and to create work that is edgy, real & dynamic while simultaneously satisfying the technical requirements of professional work for stage and screen.

Students may elect to undertake 1 or 2 classes per week depending on their desired level of commitment. Payment and commitment is on a term by term basis (7 weeks at a time). Entry is open to all actors aged 18-70years. Applicants must supply a written CV outlining their previous experience.

FEES

1 acting class per week - $440 per 7 week term
2 acting classes per week - $640 per 7 week term
All prices listed are inclusive of GST

START DATES & CLASS TIMES

Term 2, 2010 - starts 5th April

Tue 6.15pm-10.15pm (actors with previous experience)
Sat 12pm-4pm (mixed level class incl. beginners)

Term 3, 2010 - starts 7th June

ENROLMENT

Entry to our acting classes is on a pay per place basis (no audition required) and is open to all actors 18yrs and over. Students may enrol and commence classes at the beginning of any term throughout the year.
