Our Sydney drama school is different

There are many drama schools in Sydney offering a wide variety of approaches, teachers and courses. The Actors Studio Australia prides itself on offering an acting school in Sydney that is different to the rest. We provide a program that teaches a genuine process; an exploration of real useable tools and skills for actors; and the development of those skills over time in a studio laboratory environment. In short, our classes offer more than just glorified direction. We aim to break the craft of acting down into its component skills and teach actors those skills one at a time, demystifying the process of the actor and giving every student a clear understanding of their own craft and their own instrument.

Our acting classes in Sydney are offered on a term by term basis but are designed to be undertaken progressively over time. Our acting courses harness the techniques of master teachers Meisner, Strasberg, Stanislavsky, Chubbuck, Morris and more to create and unique, powerful truth based approach to performance.

The classes encompass a combination of acting exercises, dramatic improvisation and script scene work in front of the camera.
